The Akatsuki and a baby 1

Chapter 1 Ayeya (Aye-yaa)

Sasori glared at his partner.

“No.”

“But Sasori-dannnaaaaaaa!” Deidara whined, showing him the baby, “How could you say ‘no’ to this face, un?”

Sasori glanced at the baby, who was staring at him curiously, head cocked to one side. Sasori blinked when the baby grabbed his nose, giggling happily.

“See? It likes you, un!” Deidara said happily, Sasori blinked, then sighed, he wasn’t going to win, it was two against one, and anyway, he could never say no to his partner when he used that face on him.

‘Besides,’ He thought ‘the baby IS rather cute’ the baby gave a tug on his nose ‘And oddly, very strong…’  

“Fine.” Sasori gave a small smile when Deidara squealed happily, spinning around with the baby.

“Yay! Sasori-danna said yes! Sasori-danna said yessssss!” The baby was happily blabbing nonsense.

“Yes, now let’s go, we have to report back to HQ soon.” Deidara stopped spinning and nodded.

“Common, Ayeya-chan! We’ve got to get going now.” Sasori raised and eyebrow.

“‘Ayeya’ Deidara?” Sasori asked a hint of amusement in his voice “What if the baby is a male?” Deidara paused, then answered,

“Then I’d call him Ayeya-kun.” Sasori rolled his eyes, and hid his small smile beneath his cloak.

Deidara winced when another round of loud screaming assaulted his ears.

“What the hell is wrong with you, un?” he screamed back, Ayeya-chan (As Deidara so lovingly calls it) sniffed and then screamed louder. Everything was going fine, Deidara had decided that Ayeya-chan was going to ride with him on his clay bird, it was all going smoothly until she started screaming.

‘What the hell am I going to do, un????’ He thought desperately

Sasori looked up at Deidara’s clay bird, hoping it would come down soon.

‘I hope they’re both alright…’ He had heard the screams. He glared at the black dot in the sky,

‘What the hell are you doing Deidara…?’

Deidara knew he had to land; he couldn’t concentrate with Ayeya-chan screaming like that.

‘For a baby, it sure has a set on lungs…’

By the time they landed, Ayeya had stopped screaming, and now was crying.

“There, there, un,” Deidara tried to comfort it by rocking it slowly back and forth. It seemed to work, Ayeya’s eyes were only half open and the crying had stopped.

‘Thank the Gods…’ Deidara thought, wiping away the tears on the baby’s cheeks, still rocking. Ayeya was now sleeping and drooling on his cloak.

‘Aww well,’ Deidara thought, looking at his dirty cloak ‘better then blood, I suppose…’

“Deidara…?” He turned to see Sasori, who was in awe of what he had just witnessed.

‘Who know that Deidara could…?’

“Yes, Sasori-danna, un?”

Sasori shook his head and said,

“It’s nothing; let’s get back to the base.” Deidara nodded and they started walking in the direction of the Akatsuki base.
